Frequently asked questions
Can Bouncy Castles go indoors?
Absolutely. We’d just ask you to check the height of the ceiling. The height of the ceiling must be higher than the height of the Bouncy Castle... unless there is a big hole in the ceiling in which case, you're fine.
We also have several lower height Bouncy Castles for hire and at 7.5ft high, these fit into most spaces comfortably.
Which payment methods do you accept?
PayPal, bank transfer, cash or livestock (must be good quality livestock).
What happens if the weather is bad?
Safety is our number one priority.
We won't put up Bouncy Castles if the wind gets above 20mph. If it does, you've got enough on your plate so don't worry, there won't be a charge. We'll call you to see what other options may be available, so your little ones are not too disappointed.
Who puts the Bouncy Castle up and who takes it down?
We do. We take care of it all for you... we need the exercise!
Do you need electricity?
The fans that keep the Bouncy Castle full of air do need a constant supply of electricity. We provide a 25m extension cable and it costs about £0.18 per hour to run.
What are your drop off and pick up times?
April to September we drop off between 7:00am an 11:00am and pick up between 4:00pm and 8:00pm.
How much space do i need for a Bouncy Castle?
Please look at the sizes of the castles on the "Our Bouncy Castle" page. We need an additional 2ft to each side and 5ft at both the front and back to accommodate the fan and mats.

Can Bouncy Castles be set up on hard surfaces?
This is a tricky one.
Setting up bouncy castles outdoors on hard standing ground is a question we here at Bouncy Castle Express get asked all the time. Unfortunately, purely for health and safety reasons, we can’t accept bookings for our Bouncy Castles on hard standing surfaces.
There are certain rules and laws regarding the setup of inflatables on hard surfaces such as concrete, block paving and tarmac.
I will try to give as much information regarding this issue and hopefully it will help clear a few things ups for customers who don't quite understand why we don't take these sorts of bookings.
What Doesn't Help?
What makes it hard for us when trying to give our reasons why this isn't safe, is the fact that some companies will still take on these sort of jobs using sand bags to weight down the inflatable, knowing full well they will void any insurance they may or may not have. Worst still they are willing to put other people at risk in the process.
Why can't we set up on hard standing?
Any inflatable or bouncy castle that is set up outdoors on hard surfaces must be safely anchored to the ground. Most of our Bouncy Castles have 6 but some of our bigger ones have 10.
To secure Bouncy Castles to a hard surface requires us to bolt each anchor point to the ground using thunder bolts. But still there are many obstacles not to be overlooked before making this decision. Thunder bolts can't be used on slabs or block paving.
Bolting to the floor requires drilling into the concrete using a large drill and drill bit, then after the holes have been pre drilled, the inflatable is secured to the ground via the use of a thunder bolt and metal plate on each anchor point.
Please don't get offended when we explain why Bouncy Castle safety is our number one priority!
